Pub Crawls in Bangkok

Bangkok runs more than thirty active pub crawl products. Most of them start on Khao San Road, which is fine, but the better operators move the group one block to Soi Rambuttri for the first two stops before the crawl gets loud. At around 500 baht per person, the organised format gives you a guide who knows the door policies and a group to arrive with. Solo navigation on your first night in Bangkok is perfectly doable, but it costs the same in drinks and takes longer to find the right room.

The Bangkok Nightlife Scene

Khao San Road is Bangkok's most concentrated nightlife zone for travellers, running two blocks of open-air bars and clubs with music spilling into the street after 9pm. Silom Soi 4 and Silom Soi 2 handle the LGBTQ+ end of the scene. For the local crowd and a different pace, RCA (Royal City Avenue) and Asok are the two areas that extend well past the Khao San closing times.

What you'll pay

Entry to clubs on RCA runs THB 200 to 400 (roughly €5 to €10), usually including a drink. Bars on Khao San Road charge no entry and a Chang beer costs THB 80 to 120 on the street. At Levels Club and Lounge in Sukhumvit, entry runs THB 300 to 500 on weekends. Budget THB 600 to 1,200 (€15 to €30) for a full evening across three venues with drinks. Prices verified April 2026.

Best nights to go

Friday and Saturday draw the biggest groups on Khao San, with the road itself shoulder-to-shoulder from 10pm onward. Thursday is a working night for locals and the RCA clubs pick up accordingly. Sunday is quieter on Khao San but Silom's bar sois stay active. Bangkok's licensing closes most venues at 2am, which concentrates the crowd into the earlier hours more than in other Southeast Asian cities.

What You Will Pay

The standard Bangkok pub crawl runs at 500 baht per person, which converts to roughly €14. That price covers free shots at each stop and entry to one of the clubs at the end of the route, usually running three to four hours across four or five venues. Some operators offer advance booking discounts, but the walk-in price is consistent across the main Khao San operators.

Set aside another 500 to 800 baht for drinks on top. Buckets on Khao San Road run 150 to 200 baht each. A beer at The Club on Khao San is around 120 to 150 baht, with the 200-baht cover charge typically included in the crawl ticket. Dorm beds near Khao San start at around €8 to €10 per night, so a full crawl night including the ticket, drinks, and transport home runs roughly €25 to €35 total.

Best Night to Go

Friday and Saturday draw the largest groups on the Khao San crawls. Tuesday and Thursday are quieter but more focused: smaller groups, guides who have more time for introductions, and fewer queues at the venues. If you're travelling solo and actually want to meet people rather than get absorbed into a crowd, mid-week is worth trying.
