Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
Best Party Hostels respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
1. What We Collect
We collect minimal data to operate this site effectively. This includes:
- Analytics data — page views, referral sources, device type, and approximate location (country level). Collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track individuals.
- Affiliate click data — when you click an affiliate link, the destination platform (Hostelworld, GetYourGuide, 12Go Asia) may set their own cookies to track the referral. This is governed by their respective privacy policies.
- Contact information — if you email us directly, we store your email address and message content for the purpose of responding to your enquiry.
2. Cookies
Best Party Hostels does not set first-party cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is a privacy-first analytics solution that requires no cookies.
Third-party affiliate platforms may set cookies when you click outbound links. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.
3. How We Use Your Data
Analytics data helps us understand which pages are most useful and where visitors come from. We use this to improve content and prioritise new city guides. We do not build individual user profiles or share analytics data with third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
This site links to external booking platforms. When you leave bestpartyhostels.org, you are subject to the privacy policies of those platforms. We recommend reviewing their policies before making a booking:
- Hostelworld — hostelworld.com/securityprivacy
- GetYourGuide — getyourguide.com/privacy_policy
- 12Go Asia — 12go.asia/en/privacy
5. Data Retention
Analytics data is retained for 12 months and then automatically deleted. Email correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry, then deleted within 90 days.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR and UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Request access to any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data
- Object to processing of your personal data
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
