Pub Crawls in Siem Reap

Pub Street is short, maybe three hundred metres end to end, but it packs in more pub crawl operators per square metre than anywhere else in Southeast Asia. The ones worth joining start at Angkor What? Bar on the strip and move fast, hitting Temple Balcony before the rooftop fills up. The ones to skip hand you a bucket of vodka-soda and leave you standing in the same spot all night.

The Siem Reap Nightlife Scene

Pub Street, running between Sivatha Boulevard and the Night Market, is three hundred metres of bars stacked against each other. The crowd is almost entirely tourists and backpackers; local Cambodians are rarely in the bar circuit at this end of town. After 11pm the outdoor seating disappears and the volume goes up. Shadow Angkor, Red Piano, and Angkor What? Bar are the anchors.

What you'll pay

Happy hour runs at most bars on Pub Street until 9pm: draft Angkor beer at $0.50 and cocktails at $2 to $3. After happy hour, draft beer climbs to $1.50 to $2.50 and cocktails to $4 to $6. There are no cover charges on Pub Street itself. Budget $15 to $25 for a full night: happy hour drinks, bar food if you want it, and four rounds across three venues. Prices verified April 2026.

Best nights to go

Wednesday and Friday are the two nights the main crawls run, but Saturday is when Pub Street runs at capacity regardless. Tuesday is dead. The better call for atmosphere without shoulder-to-shoulder crowds is Wednesday: the bars are full enough to feel alive, the terrace spots are claimable, and the noise level is still human.

What You Will Pay

Two crawls dominate the market. The Siem Reap Pub Crawl runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at $10 per person, meeting at Angkor What? Bar at 7pm, covering four to five stops with a shot at each. The Mad Monkey crawl runs every night at $12 and includes a traditional Khmer meal alongside the free shots and two draught beers at the end. Both are cheap by any standard. The hostels match: Mad Monkey beds start at under €1, Lub d Cambodia sits at €6.84 for the top-rated option. Drinks on Pub Street run $0.50 for a beer, $3 for a bucket.

Best Night to Go

Wednesday. The Siem Reap Pub Crawl runs, the midweek crowd is smaller than weekends, and Angkor What? Bar's balcony is actually claimable. By Friday the street outside Late Night Bar is impassable.
