Munich's pub crawl scene starts in the beer halls and ends in Schwabing or Glockenbachviertel, which means the first hour is beer steins and the last hour is something else entirely. The gap between the two is larger than the distance on a map suggests.

Outside Oktoberfest, the city is considerably more manageable and the beer hall-to-bar transition happens without the logistics of navigating festival crowds.
