Party Hostels in Boracay

Boracay runs on San Mig Light and sunset DJs. The main strip along White Beach is where it all happens: beach bars blasting house music from mid-afternoon, fire dancers performing after dark, and enough neon lighting to make the whole stretch glow well past midnight. Station 2 is the social centre of it all, with the highest concentration of bars, restaurants, and places to accidentally lose an evening. Station 3 is quieter but increasingly popular with backpackers looking for cheaper beds closer to the budget end of the strip. The hostel scene here has grown steadily, with places like Frendz Resort, Chill Out Hostel, and Happiness Hostel drawing a crowd that's there to mix and mingle rather than hide in their rooms. Drink prices are low by any standard. A bottle of Red Horse beer runs around ₱70 to ₱90 at most bars, and free-flow deals are everywhere. Come for the beach, stay for the nightlife.

How to get to Boracay from Manila

Which Area Should You Stay In?

How Boracay's nightlife zones break down

Station 2

Station 2 is the centre of gravity for nightlife on Boracay, sitting in the middle of White Beach along the main beachfront path. Cocomangas, Epic Bar, and most of the budget-to-mid-range drinking spots cluster here, along with the majority of backpacker hostels. D'Mall, the island's main shopping and dining hub, is also in this area.

Best for: Nightlife, hostels, and beach bars

Station 3

Station 3 is at the southern end of White Beach and has a noticeably quieter and more local feel than Station 2. It's the budget end of the island, with cheaper accommodation and smaller, more relaxed bars along the beach path. The sand here is slightly coarser but the crowds are thinner, and it's an easy 10-minute walk or short e-trike ride north to the action.

Best for: Budget accommodation and local bars

Diniwid Beach

A short walk or tricycle ride north of Station 1, Diniwid is a small cove that sits just beyond the main White Beach strip. It has a handful of low-key beach bars and guesthouses popular with travellers looking to escape the crowds without leaving the island. Less party-focused than the main beach, but a solid spot for sundowners before heading back south.

Best for: Quiet sundowners and escape from the crowds

The Beach Club

White Beach, Station 1

More upscale than the average Boracay beach bar but still accessible for backpackers during happy hour. It runs regular DJ nights and occasionally hosts live acts, with a proper dancefloor that gets packed on weekends. Drinks are a step up in price, but the setup right on the beach is hard to argue with.

Dos Mestizos Bar

White Beach, Station 1

A Spanish-Filipino bar and restaurant that transitions into a lively drinking spot after dinner. It sits right on White Beach and is known for its cocktails and sangria pitchers, which are a solid alternative to the usual beer-and-bucket scene. Live acoustic acts perform most evenings from around 7pm.

Hey Jude Bar

White Beach, Station 2

Named after the Beatles song, this long-standing bar is popular for its live band performances covering rock, pop, and OPM (Original Pilipino Music). It draws a slightly older crowd of travellers and expats but is welcoming to anyone. The open-air setup and cold San Mig make it a great warm-up stop before heading to the clubs.

Practical Info

✈️
Getting to Boracay
Fly into Caticlan Airport (MPH), which is a 10-minute tricycle ride from Caticlan Jetty Port. From there, take a bangka boat to Corcueva Port on Boracay for around ₱50 to ₱100. The whole journey from jetty to island takes about 15 minutes. Kalibo Airport (KLO) is a cheaper flying option but involves a roughly 1.5-hour bus or van transfer to the jetty.
🛺
Getting around the island
E-trikes are the main way to get around and run along the main road parallel to White Beach. A short hop between stations costs around ₱10 to ₱20 per person. Shared trikes run set routes; private hire costs more but is easy to arrange at any time of night. Walking between Stations 1, 2, and 3 along the beach path is very doable and takes 20 to 40 minutes end to end.
💸
Money and costs
Boracay is one of the pricier destinations in the Philippines but still cheap by international standards. Hostel dorms start from around ₱500 to ₱800 per night. Beer at beach bars runs ₱70 to ₱120, and a basic meal at a local carinderia costs ₱80 to ₱150. ATMs are available near Station 2 but charge fees; bring cash from the mainland if you can.
🏖️
Beach and environment rules
Boracay underwent a mandatory six-month closure in 2018 for environmental rehabilitation. Since reopening, rules are enforced: no smoking on the beach, no drinking on the sand after 6pm in some areas, and no glass bottles on the beach. Bars along the beachfront work around this by serving drinks in plastic cups. Respect the rules or face on-the-spot fines.
📱
SIM cards and connectivity
Pick up a local SIM card from Globe or Smart at Caticlan Jetty Port or at any of the small shops along the Boracay main road. A data-loaded SIM costs around ₱100 to ₱200 and will cover you for the week. Wi-Fi in hostels and beach bars is generally decent but can slow down in busy areas around Station 2 in the evenings.
🌤️
Best time to visit
The peak party season runs from November to May, when the Amihan (northeast) winds bring calm seas and dry weather. June to October is typhoon season and many bars reduce hours or close temporarily. January to March is the busiest and most social time of year, with the beach packed and bars running nightly events and drink promos.
