Bali's most concentrated stretch of beach clubs runs from Ku De Ta to Potato Head: sunset cocktails, DJ sets, and pools that stay busy from noon to midnight.
Seminyak's beach clubs run along roughly three kilometres of Indian Ocean coast, with Petitenget Beach as the anchor point. Potato Head Beach Club on Petitenget Road is the most architecturally significant: its curved wall of repurposed doors faces the ocean, the pool runs parallel to the beach, and the DJ booth is positioned so the set travels across the water at sunset. The crowd is international and mixed in age, unlike the younger Kuta bar strip a few kilometres south. Sunset here is at around 6pm year-round and is the focal point of the evening: every beach club fills an hour before and stays busy until 10pm or later.
Jalan Kayu Aya, also called Eat Street, runs parallel to the beach about 200 metres inland and is where most of Seminyak's restaurants, bars, and boutiques concentrate. Drinks at beach clubs cost IDR 80,000–150,000 (approximately £4–£8) for a beer or cocktail, which is high by Bali standards. The wet season (November–March) brings afternoon rain, lower crowds, and meaningfully cheaper accommodation. Hostels in Seminyak are fewer than in Kuta; the backpacker budget scene is more developed at Legian and Kuta, which are 2–3km south and a short taxi ride away.

Day-by-day breakdown
Arrive at Potato Head before 4pm for a pool spot without reservation. The free-entry areas of the beach clubs are legitimate: walk to the beach-facing section, order a drink, and stay as long as you like. La Plancha on Double Six Beach sets out beanbags directly on the sand, coloured by the day's theme, and is notably cheaper than the prestige clubs to the south. Sunset is at 6pm. Get in position by 5:30pm.
Move inland after sunset to Jalan Kayu Aya for dinner; Warung Ibu Made on the quieter side streets has local Balinese food at IDR 25,000–40,000 (approximately £1.20–£2) per dish, considerably cheaper than the beachfront. Seminyak Square and Jalan Oberoi have cocktail bars that run from 9pm. Motel Mexicola on Jalan Kayu Jati is loud, late, and popular with the expat and tourist mix.
