From May through September, FarOut Beach Club on Mylopotas beach runs daily DJ pool parties and some of Greece's most popular day parties, establishing Ios as the Cyclades' most reliable destination for uninterrupted beach club culture.
FarOut Beach Club sits at the southern end of Mylopotas beach, Ios's 800-metre main beach, and has operated since the 1990s as the focal point of the island's day-party culture. The venue runs a pool party programme from noon daily through the summer season, with international DJs playing house and electronic music across afternoon sets. FarOut books names that play Ibiza and the European club circuit and presents them in the context of a beach club with pool, sun loungers, and Aegean sea views. Peak season (July and August) sees the venue at capacity from 3pm, with parties running until 10pm before guests move to the village for dinner and then to the clubs later in the night.
Ios village (the Chora) sits on a hilltop above the port and beach and contains the island's bar and club concentration: Slammer Bar, Blue Note, and the Fun Pub are the established names, running from midnight to 5am. The pattern on Ios is consistent: FarOut from noon to 10pm, dinner in the Chora between 8pm and 10pm, bars from midnight, clubs until dawn. The island is small enough that the return walk from Mylopotas beach to the Chora takes 30 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by the shuttle bus (€1.50) that runs constantly in season. Accommodation options range from the Ios Camping site adjacent to FarOut, running from €15 per tent, to rooms in the Chora from €30. July and August booking is essential two to three months ahead.

Day-by-day breakdown
FarOut opens at noon. The DJ programme starts around 1pm and builds to the peak set at 4pm–6pm. The pool area fills quickly in high season; arrive by 1pm to secure a sunbed. Drinks run €8–€12 for cocktails and €5–€7 for beer. The beach itself is public and free on either side of the FarOut section; laying a towel on the non-reserved beach and walking in to the pool for the DJ sets is an option some visitors use, though the sunbeds have a minimum spend requirement.
Dinner in the Chora on the main square or on the steps leading down to the port runs €10–€18 for a main course at the mid-range restaurants. The bars on the main street open from 9pm but only fill after midnight. Slammer Bar's tequila shots at €2 and the adjacent Blue Note are the standard starting point; the progression to the clubs at the edge of the village (Sweet Irish Dream and Ice Club) happens around 1am. The clubs stay open until 5am.
