The Philippines' second city runs a tight nightlife circuit in Mango Square and the IT Park area, with clubs open until 4am and bar bands playing covers until closing.
Cebu City is the Philippines' second largest city and the economic hub of the Visayas. Its nightlife divides between two areas: the old Mango Avenue and the adjacent General Maxilom area, which has been the traditional nightlife corridor for decades; and IT Park in Lahug, a purpose-built business and entertainment district 3km north that has largely taken over as the more upmarket option in the past ten years. Both areas have enough in common that a single night can cover both with a taxi between them.
The local drinking culture in Cebu is more Filipino than tourist-facing, which means Red Horse beer, San Miguel Pale Pilsen, and Tanduay rum as the default orders. Bars in IT Park run PHP 60–100 for beer; Mango Area bars are cheaper at PHP 50–80. Cover charges at clubs run PHP 200–400 on most nights with a drink included. Live bands playing cover versions of international pop and rock are a fixture at many Cebu bars — this is not a side feature, it is the main event at places like Bugsy's Bar and Kukuk's Nest. If you want DJ-based nightlife, the clubs in IT Park (Time to Chill, Proof) are the better option.

Day-by-day breakdown
Start at Mango Avenue around 8pm. Kukuk's Nest is the best-known live band bar in Cebu, with house bands playing from 9pm Tuesday through Sunday. Beer is PHP 80–100 and the crowd is a genuine Cebu-wide mix of workers, students, and travellers. Walk west along General Maxilom Extension for several more options, including Mr. A's Bar, which has an outdoor section and reasonable prices. Eat before or during at Larsian BBQ, the outdoor barbecue food market on Fuente Osmeña Circle, where a full meal costs PHP 150–250.
Take a taxi (PHP 80–120) from Mango Area to IT Park around 11pm. The Terraces at IT Park has a strip of bars and clubs facing a central outdoor area, making it easy to move between venues. Proof at IT Park is the most consistent club for electronic and house music, running DJ nights Thursday through Saturday with entry at PHP 300–500 including a drink. Time to Chill next door plays a broader mix and is slightly cheaper. The area stays busy until 4am on weekends; taxis and Grab cars are plentiful at the IT Park entrance.
