4 reviewed party hostels · from €5.37/night · verified ratings
Koh Phi Phi’s nightlife kicks off at sunset on Loh Dalum Bay, where fire dancers spin flames metres from your table and buckets of SangSom rum go for 250 THB. The hostel scene is small but loud: just three or four places account for most of the backpacker beds, and they all sit within a ten-minute walk of each other along the island’s only sandy paths. Voyagers Hostel packs its dorms every night for the bar crawl, while Blanco Beach Bar runs its own boat party straight from the shore. There are no roads, so you’ll be walking barefoot past 7-Eleven torches and reggae bars to get from one end of the village to the other.

How Koh Phi Phi's nightlife zones break down
The island’s only settlement, squeezed between two bays. The main drag is a 500-metre strip of bars, hostels, and tattoo shops. At night, the path is lit by neon signs and the smell of barbecue. Most hostels here are a five-minute walk from the pier.
A half-moon beach directly opposite Tonsai Village. The sand is soft, the water is warm, and the bars spill onto the shore. By day, it’s a place to sunbathe; by night, it’s the island’s main party zone. You can wade across to Tonsai at low tide.
A 20-minute long-tail ride from Tonsai, Long Beach is a quieter stretch of sand with a handful of beachfront hostels. The nightlife is limited to a couple of reggae bars, but the snorkelling is better and the sunsets are just as good.
